As a convenience to customers, our Blue Frog Printing catalog prices include simple art preparation. Please supply digital artwork whenever possible. All supporting files and fonts used in creating the artwork must be included. A clean black and white print is acceptable for one color jobs only. Additional art charges may be incurred if substantial art preperation is required.
NOTE: Cutouts from brochures, magazines, business cards, faxes or copies are NOT considered acceptable art.

When submitting Photoshop files, do not flatten the image. We are unable to make changes to the file once it has been rendered.
Submitted files should have a resolution of no lower than 300 dpi. Raising the dpi of a graphic that was created at a lower resolution WILL NOT improve the quality.
Digital artwork must be submitted on all 4-color process jobs. Most graphics programs default to RGB mode on scanned or created graphics. Clients must change color mode to CMYK in order to avoid unexpected color results.
Types of Files to Send
Using the proper file type is essential for outputting your art correctly. Most products in this catalog will use vector-based graphics. Vector-based graphics are best for reproducing artwork with logos, type and other elements that do not use halftone images.
Bitmap files are best when some type of photographic image is part of the black & white product. Vector and bitmap files can be combined in a design, provided all files used to create it are included with the file.
Always send all text, AI, EPS, TIF, etc. files used to create your artwork.
Disk Names & File Names
Disk names (if used) and/or file names should be kept as short as possible. Names should be letters, numbers, or both. Do not use any punctuation or other symbols.
Never use a period(.) as any part of the file name if you are using a Macintosh. This creates an artificial file extension that prevents our file conversion program from working properly. Also, do not add file extensions; our file conversion program does that automatically.

All Disks/Files Must Include
Hard copies (i.e. laser or color prints) of a composite proof with color separations for multiple color jobs. A black & white laser print is acceptable for single color jobs.
A cover sheet with the names of all files and their formats.
If possible, convert all Text to Paths (or Curves). This means that the text is an object and can no longer be edited as text. This prevents font substitutions, which occur when a font is used that is not on our system. If this is not possible, send copies of all screen and printer fonts used in the file. Fonts used in placed graphics must also be converted or sent with files.
Products of different shapes and sizes are priced separately and cannot be combined for quantity discounts.
We recommend backing up colors with white when printing on clear material. This can be accomplished in three ways:
White just inside object (shown from back).
White halo around object.
Standard Ink Colors
Chart shows standard colors available for imprint. When ordering, please indicate color choice by including number and name.
Fluorescent colors are also available as standard colors at no extra charge. (Fluorescent colors will begin to fade after 30 days if subjected to direct sunlight.) Standard ink colors will be used on all orders unless color match is requested. Printed colors on delivered products may be lighter or darker than shown here. For accurate matching, please contact us for samples.
There is an additional $140.00 (G) set-up charge on first order. Digital art and a “true” color proof must be provided.
Use PMS Spot Colors when assigning colors to art except on 4-color process jobs. If you are using one of the standard ink colors from our chart, assign a PMS color in your file and it will be changed to the color specified on your purchase order.
$36.00(E) per each color match. We cannot guarantee perfect color matches. There is no additional charge for standard ink colors (see back cover).
Color, Copy & Stock Changes
$37.50 (E) for each color, copy and stock change. All sizes must be the same and all copies must be received at the same time. Each copy or color change must be in multiples of the minimum quantity shown. Combining copy and color changes on the same order is not allowed. Color, copy and stock changes are not available on 4-Color Process orders.
Cutting Die Minimums
All lettering must be at least 1/4″ in height, have a stroke of at least 1/16″ and have at least 3/64″ between characters.
No cut out areas under 3/64″.
Picks After Cutting Die
Picks are the areas that must be removed after the decal has been die cut. No additional charge for up to 18 picks. Additional picks are $.02(A) per pick per decal.
Your image will bleed if any part of the image makes contact with the document border.
